Competition terms for Mersey Draws
Please read these terms before entering any competition on our website.
Last updated: 24 May 2026
1. Eligibility
Entrants must be 18 years or over and resident in the United Kingdom unless a specific competition states otherwise. Employees, immediate family members and anyone professionally connected with Mersey Draws may not enter.
2. How entry works
Each competition requires a correct answer to a skill-based question. Only entries with the correct answer are valid. Paid entries are not issued until payment has been successfully confirmed.
3. Free entry route
A free postal entry route is available for every competition. Free entries must include your full name, email address, competition name and correct answer, and must arrive before the published closing date. Free entries are treated the same as paid entries and have an equal chance of winning.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers. If a payment fails, no paid entry is created.
5. Winner selection
Once a competition closes, a winner is chosen at random from all valid entries with the correct answer. We may publish the winner's first name, surname initial and ticket number on the website.
6. Prizes
Prizes are as described on the competition page. If a cash alternative is offered, this will be stated on the competition listing. Mersey Draws reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value where necessary.
7. Closing dates and cancellations
Closing dates are shown on each competition page. We reserve the right to extend, amend or cancel a competition where reasonably necessary, including in cases of technical issues, fraud concerns or prize unavailability.
8. Refunds
Entries are generally non-refundable once a valid paid entry has been created, unless required by law or if a competition is cancelled by us.
9. Liability
We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including service outages, delayed internet access, postal delays or third-party payment interruptions.
10. Contact
If you have questions about a competition, contact us using the details published on the website before entering.
This is a practical starter version and should still be reviewed against your final business setup, address details and legal advice before launch.
